Sandy prints for the Red Cross?
Someone asked me on Flickr if I was selling prints of that hurricane watercolor I did. I told him that I wasn’t planning on it, but it gave me an idea.
Here’s the plan, I want to make postcard-size prints (4.25” x 5.5”) and sell them as a set of 3 for $20. All the proceeds would go to the Red Cross a non-profit, yet to be determined, for Hurricane Relief. I know, that was like a month ago, but people are still recovering from it.
Here’s the best part: IAC, the parent company of OkCupid, whom I work for, will match charitable donations its employees make. So whatever amount I end up raising, I would essentially double that.
You spend $20, you get a set of 3 Sandy watercolor postcards, and you just donated $40 to the Red Cross!
Since I’m gonna have to pay for the printing costs out of my own pocket, I thought I’d try to gauge interest here first before going ahead with the plan. If I can get at least 40 people to back me up on this, then it’s a go.
Let me know if you’re interested to buy a set of Sandy postcards by replying, liking, or commenting to this post. How bout it, are you backing?
